Why vote GERBER for NC Senate District 18?
I will propose, support and vote for legislation that:
•Is consistent with The United States and North Carolina Constitutions;
•Permanently caps state spending at 5% of the state’s private sector economy;
•Allows NC citizens to opt out of nationalized healthcare requirements;
•Increases education options for all students regardless of income;
•Limits the state’s use of eminent domain and bans forced annexation.
Bonus Pledge
I WILL NOT serve more than four years in the North Carolina Senate.
Here’s a real easy, and yummy, way for you to financially support Triangle West Young Republicans!
Recently, I helped another organization at their annual Flapjack Fundraiser. In so doing, it was made apparent to me the ease to which the organization raised some additional funds. My hat’s off to Applebees for coming up with this idea. They really have got this down to a science.
Here’s the deal. We will be having this fundraiser at the Brier Creek Applebess (there is no Applebees in Durham — well, not until October, and we are trying to raise money for our efforts in the fall) on Saturday, July 24th. We’ll start serving ‘em up at 7:30 am and will keep serving ‘em up ’til 10:00 am.
Here’s where we need your help: just show up hungry … and tell a few friends.
For $7 you’ll get your fill of pancakes. At that price, $2 will go to Applebees to cover their costs and TWYR will get $5 for our general fund. It’s that easy.
Finally, we would like to sell as many tickets in advance as possible. So please plan to bring your checkbook to the July 8th meeting so you can get tickets for you, your spouse and perhaps even a few friends. … And just in case you’re wondering, no you don’t have to buy tickets in advance. We will gladly take your money at the door.
So please go ahead and put Saturday, July 24th on your calendar. And invite your friends to breakfast that day.
As a lifelong resident of Northern Durham County I have seen many changes over the course of my lifetime. I have become familiar with people from all walks of life and I am proud to be associated with them.
I have decided to campaign for NC House District 30 for several reasons. First and foremost, I believe that the people of District 30 deserve a choice in who represents them on the issues that are so important to each of us, as well as, our families. North Carolina is facing the same problems that other states are experiencing and these problems must be addressed with the voters in mind. The economy, jobs, and local issues that directly pertain to District 30 will be my primary focus and top priority if I am fortunate enough to be elected.
I believe in complete voter representation and I will listen to those that elect me. I am a fiscal conservative who believes that people deserve to keep more of what they earn to provide for their families. We must send a message that too much spending will not be tolerated by the voters, especially in a down economy. We have to live by a budget, and so should the NC Legislature in Raleigh.
